Dream Liturgy
INVITING DEPTH CONVERSATIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!
I look forward to accompanying you on your journey with dreams, inviting depth in conversations and relationships.

When we host a dream in community, its images, feeling and story come forward. The dream then serves as the liturgy for the gathering, inviting depth in conversation, relationship, creativity, ritual, and meaning
EDUCATION
I have a passion for education that trains individuals and groups to facilitate trust-based, effective and creative dream work.
Group Work and Retreats
My passion for group work includes slowing down, paying attention and listening to the dream, creating space for response that emerges naturally from the call of the dream.
Events
Upcoming events related to all things dream will be posted and updated here as often as possible, check below for updates!

Darby Christopher
About me
Darby has been engaged in dream work for the past twenty plus years. In 2001 her mom gave her a Jeremy Taylor book on group dream work, leading her and a friend to start a dream group at their Episcopal church in Atlanta, Georgia. From there, she discovered the dream-focused Natural Spiritual Regional Gathering (NSRG) started by Joyce Hudson, and the Haden Institute, founded by Episcopal priest Bob Haden.

She completed a two-year Jungian-oriented Dream Leadership Training at the Haden Institute in 2006, and became a frequent dream group facilitator and workshop leader at the Haden Institute’s Summer Dream conferences and at Natural Spirituality gatherings. In 2019 she assumed co-leadership of the NSRG conference, which continues to thrive both on-line and in person.
More recently, Darby completed 3 levels of Dr. Stephen Aizenstat’s Dream Tending training and travelled on pilgrimage with him to Switzerland to soak in the spirit of Carl Jung at Eranos, his home in Kusnacht, and his Tower at Bollingen. Working with Dr.
Aizenstat helped ground her further in experiential and creative dream work, while also introducing her to James Hillman, an imaginal field that is alive and primed for relationship, and Dr. Aizenstat’s work developing the Imagination Matrix. Most recently, her dream journey has led her to train with Marian Dunlea in BodyDreaming, which draws on the work of Marion Woodman and integrates dream work with trauma training.

Podcast Interview
Darby was interviewed on the Dream Journal Podcast with Katherine Bell, in an episode titled "Dreams as Sacred Liturgy." In this episode, Darby and Katherine explore how we can meet our dreams on their own terms and use them as liturgy for sacred gatherings. They talk about what makes gatherings sacred including the idea of going slow and leaving room for silence. Darby goes into some of her ideas on what she calls the dream Roundabout which includes many ways to meet the dream on its own terms. She encourages us to not take our dreams too literally but to use them as starting off points for inner exploration.
